February 29, 2008Still Life – Traveling with Bananas No. 22 “Blowout”…
February 17, 2008I spent the last few days in Dallas. If I had to move there I would probably find a place Uptown/West Village. For one thing I had the best haircut I’ve had in the past 9 years from a 20-something beauty with a great smile and the rest of the time there’s plenty to eat and to do (or not) close to/in downtown. I missed the sign commanding “Women must wear black yoga pants” but it’s there somewhere.
As you can see in the still life I had my first major banana blow-out. The mercy peeling was quick and painless.
Mars out.
FWIW…
February 13, 2008In the past few days I have heard serious comments about “the war of the aggression of the Northern States”. I learned “dinosaur fossils are less than 6,000 years old” and “carbon dating is inexact because it has only been in use for 50 years and the samples they test are older than that”. These were the observations of college educated free thinkers.

As I said yesterday, my future is here today…
February 11, 2008The house search has come to the point of agreement on price so the paperwork begins. I’m not going to rehash much of the details in this blog during the purchase process and will begin to write about moving forward after the closing. This is yet another milestone in becoming more like myself. It has brought into focus choices made that brought me to this point and comfort that many of those choices were the right ones and insight on some which could have been thought out a little better. No angst just moving forward.I’ve been reading the tax guide every night for a couple of weeks and it has been worth it. The completed return goes out this weekend.
Roof trusses will start going up tomorrow on bldg 3. I really want this building under a roof as soon as possible. It rains in southern Louisiana in the spring. Did I mention the turn-over date to the client is August 1st – furnished and ready to move in? This is Multi-Family 101. Lace up your roller skates and strap on the rocket.
Mars out.
I have a confession…
February 7, 2008Many times, when I eat sushi, the best part of the meal is the miniature ginger wasabi burritos I make that blast my nostrils and almost make me cry.
Mars out.
